Botox - Neurotoxin for Smoothing Wrinkles
These are safe and effective injections which treat lines and wrinkles. Migraines, excessive sweating and jaw disorders are also treated.
What is Botox?
Botox® is a neurotoxin injection used for both medical and cosmetic purposes. At her medical spa, Jennifer uses Botox to smooth lines and wrinkles and treat chronic migraines.
How does Botox reduce the signs of aging?
Jennifer is an aesthetic expert who uses Botox injections to temporarily diminish the appearance of your forehead lines, frown lines, and crow's feet. The cosmetic injection reduces muscle activity under your skin that creates lines and wrinkles.
In addition to Botox, Jennifer uses Xeomin®, a brand of the neurotoxin medication that specifically targets frown lines.
Botox and Xeomin injections take only a few minutes to administer and require no downtime afterward. Jennifer may suggest you hold off on any strenuous activity for at least two hours following your injections.
You may feel a pinch as Jennifer injects the needle into your skin, but the pain is minimal and temporary. You should start to notice an improvement in your look within 24 to 48 hours after your injections.
How long does Botox keep my skin smooth?
Botox only temporarily reduces the appearance of your lines and wrinkles, and you may notice the effects of your treatment wearing off within three to four months. As soon as you notice a return of your lines and creases, Jennifer recommends you return to A Body Renaissance to repeat your Botox injections.
Regular Botox injections thin out the muscle under the skin, which prolongs the youth-enhancing effects.
Am I a good candidate for Botox injections for migraines?
Jennifer determines if you're a good candidate for Botox injections for your migraines during a consultation. You are considered a good candidate if you experience headaches or migraines most days of every month, usually 15 out of 30 days.
For migraines, Jennifer injects the Botox into specific areas around your head and neck. To continue to benefit from Botox for migraine relief, Jennifer recommends you repeat the injections every 12 weeks.
When it comes to erasing lines and wrinkles, Botox is a favorite. To schedule your Botox injections, call A Body Renaissance or use the online booking feature to schedule an appointment today.
Fillers for Face & Lips
Feel confident knowing that you will be injected by a skilled expert. Fillers can take years off of your face but adding back volume lost through the aging process. Fillers are primarily for your lips, cheeks, undereye, chin, temporal hollows, nasolabial folds, oral commissure, and jowel.
What are dermal fillers?
Dermal fillers are cosmetic injections Jennifer offers to enhance your natural beauty. As you age, the fat underneath your skin begins to diminish. Without the support of subcutaneous fat, your skin begins to sag, leading to lines and wrinkles. Dermal fillers act as replacements for the lost fat.
At A Body Renaissance, Jennifer uses the Juvéderm® line of dermal fillers because they've undergone the most testing and are the most effective. Juvéderm dermal fillers can restore your youthful look by:
- Smoothing lines and wrinkles
- Enhancing facial contours
- Adding volume to thin lips
- Improving the appearance of recessed acne scars
- Removing shadows under your eyelids
Jennifer may combine your dermal filler injections with stem cells to prolong the effects of your aesthetic treatment so you don't have to continue to get dermal fillers.
Face/Skin Rejuvenation
PRX T-33 is a powerful treatment that is non-peeling but extremely powerful. Other treatments include exfoliation peels, live tissue injections (stem cells) that are simliar to PRP but much more effective, and hydrating facials.
How is this skin peel different from other peels?
This peel is strong and effective as any peel on the market but it is formulated to go deep into the dermal (deep) skin layer, thereby protecting the outer skin layer. This means NO peeling!! You get amazing results with NO DOWNTIME!! It is also safe enough to use on the eyelids and undereye area. This is remarkable, as no other skin treatment offering these types of results can safely be used on the the eyes! This product also works on stretch marks, acne scars, and other scars that are not raised. It is not good to use on keloid scars and your practitioner can recommend other treatments for keloid scars .
How does PRX T33 work?
Thanks to the genius of it’s creator, the product soaks through the top layer of skin (epidermis) and penetrates deep into the dermal layer. Once into the dermis, the product causes mild inflammation (which does NOT result in redness, flaking, itching, peeling, or burning). The inflammation causes the dermal layer of skin to produce increased collagen and also breaks up dark spots that may have resulted from sun exposure, hormonal changes, etc. The result in clear, tight, fresh, young looking skin.
Who can use this product?
Just about anyone is a candidate for this skin treatment. Unlike may facial peels, skin color is not an issue. It is safe for Fitzpatrick skin types I-VI. If you are currently undergoing treatment for skin cancer, are currently using Retinol-type products, or have recently undergone laser or surgical skin procedure, check with your dermatologist before having a PRX T33 facial.
Which areas of the body can be treated?
While the most popular area is the face, there is literally no area of the body that can’t be treated. Loose skin from weight loss is a common treatment site, especially the stomach and the back of the arms. Even the tender skin in the genital area can be treated. Many people choose to treat multiple areas of the body. There are no restrictions to the amount of skin that can be treated, as long as there are no other contraindications like skin cancer, recent skin procedures (lasers or surgical excisions) , or concurrent use of retinol or other harsh acne treatments.
What can I expect after treatment?
You will be expected to keep your skin moisturized and you may be advised to use an 8% glycolic acid solution starting 24 hours after your facial. This product works best when the protect ive lipid layer of the skin is intact. Glycolic acid improves the skin’s ability to retain moisture when used as directed after the PRX T33 peel.
What are the active ingredients?
TCA (trichloroacetic acid) is one of the main active ingredients. Traditionally, TCA peels cause a lot of inflammation and irritation to the outer skin layers resulting in extensive peeling. PRX T33 contains a low percentage of hydrogen peroxide which actually helps deliver the product to the dermis, bypassing the outer skin layer (epidermis). This is why you don’t peel with this product. This facial also contains Kojic acid which helps break up darked skin spots (concentrations of melanin at the dermal layer of the skin) which in turn, leaves your skin more uniform in appearance.
How much does it cost?
Cost is determined by how much of the product is used. Each 1 ml costs $200 dollars. For example, 1 ml of product will treat the entire face. If you want to add the neck and chest, that will require another 1 ml of product. Most people get the best results after 4-5 treatments. It is recommended that you have annual maintenance treatments, as well, to help with the natural aging process. This facial restores some of what aging takes away, but it is not permanent since you will continue to age.
Microneedling - The Best Treatment to Improve Skin
Microneedling is also know as collagen induction therapy. There is nothing more effective for skin improvement, especially when you consider the price.
What is microneedling?
Microneedling is a minimally invasive cosmetic treatment that stimulates the production of collagen. Collagen is the protein that keeps your skin strong and resilient.
During treatment, Jennifer uses a special microneedling tool that places microtears into the surface of your skin. These tears simulate an injury, which triggers your body to send over healing cells to repair the "damage."
To enhance the repair process, Jennifer may suggest you combine your microneedling with stem cells, a live tissue allograft product that contains a high concentration of healing cells. When applied to your skin after microneedling, the healing properties in stem cells can accelerate the repair process for more dramatic results.
What does microneedling treat?
Jennifer uses microneedling as an aesthetic tool to treat many beauty concerns. You may want to consider scheduling a consultation at A Body Renaissance if you're looking for a minimally invasive treatment to:
- Reduce the appearance of fine lines
- Improve skin texture
- Even out skin tone and color
The cosmetic treatment is also used to treat acne scars and large pores.
What can I expect during my microneedling treatment?
Jennifer performs your microneedling treatment at the office. To reduce any discomfort, she may apply a topical cream to your skin prior to the application of the microneedling tool. Once your skin is ready, she gently and methodically applies the tool to your skin to get the desired results.
The entire procedure takes about 30 minutes. Once complete, Jennifer applies PRP or a calming cream to your skin, followed by sunblock.
Your skin may be red for a few days following your microneedling treatment, but there's no need for downtime following your session.
How long does it take to see the results of microneedling?
Your skin takes action very quickly to repair the damage created by the microneedling tool and you may notice an improvement in the look and tone of your skin within a few weeks of treatment. Jennifer may recommend a series of microneedling sessions to get the most benefits out of your treatment.
Lasers
Lasers are the ideal treatment for achieving the look and feel that you want. Laser treatments can achieve removal of dark marks, redness, freckles, get rid of hair that you don't want, and tighten your skin to look how you'd like.
Lasers emit a specialized, pulsed light, which is absorbed by the pigment in your hair and then transmitted down the hair shaft to the root. The hair follicle is damaged by the heat of the laser, which prohibits future growth.
Before your procedure, we will evaluate your skin and hair type in order for us to select the best laser to suit your needs. We will also thoroughly discuss the possible risks, your expectations, and the best ways to prepare for treatment.
The duration of each session varies depending on what area of the body you are having treatment. A small area such as the upper lip may take only five minutes, while a larger area like the back or legs may take up to one hour. The area should be shaved or cut short prior to treatment. For best results, we recommend that you do not wax or pluck hairs for three weeks prior to treatment.
Laser hair removal is safe and effective when performed by a physician or other licensed professional specializing in laser technology. At our practice, you can expect the highest level of treatment from our qualified professionals.
Body Contouring / Skin Tightening
With this treatment, it's possible to have cavitation, radiofrequency, and infrared all combined into one treatment. Have tighter-looking, well-contoured skin.
How does ultrasound cavitation work?
Using a specially tested and proven frequency, ultrasound waves are delivered to the chosen body site. The sound waves disrupt the water molecules in the superficial adipose (fat) cells causing the fat cell to expel it’s contents. The damage to the cell causes the body to send in the “clean up crew” and the lymphatic system carries away the fat and damaged cell where it is excreted through the kidneys (you pee it out). This procedure causes the PERMANENT removal of fat cells. There is a high-pitched ringing in your ears during the procedure. Those with hearing aids or other ear/hearing conditions may not be able to tolerate the procedure, but most people have no issues.
Are there people that should not get this procedure?
Individuals that have a pacemaker or any type of implanted device that is automated, should not undergo this procedure. It is also not recommended for those with kidney disease, uncontrolled diabetes, people with chronic fluid or electrolyte imbalances, liver disease, or heart conditions (especially those that cause dysrhythmias). You should check with your specialist or primary care provider is you have any autonomic disorders or autoimmune diseases.
What results can I expect?
Results vary from person to person, but you can expect to see an immediate reduction in the amount of fat at the treatment site. Some lose 1-2 inches around their waist after the first treatment. Hydration is a key factor and the more hydrated you are, the better the results. Everyone’s lymphatic system works differently, but those with sluggish lymphatic drainage may not see results as quickly as others. Our practitioner may recommend infrared heat and compression to help aid the lymphatic drainage and improve overall results.
How much does a treatment cost?
Each 30-35 minute session costs $250 dollars. Cavitation is more effective that most other fat loss treatments and much less expensive.
How does ultrasound cavitation compare with Coolsculpting or other “warm” laser fat loss treatments?
Ultrasound cavitation has shown to be as effective, if not more effective that the other fat loss treatments on the market. The treatment is also pain-free and there is no downtime afterwards. The science is sound, the results are proven, and it costs you less.

Acoustic Wave / Shockwave
What is acoustic wave therapy?
Acoustic wave therapy applies shock waves to a particular body part which in turn, creates micro-injuries. These are very small, imperceptible injuries which cause the body to produce collagen, elastin, and other blood proteins to help revitalize the tissue. This treatment works on joints, cellulite, muscles, neuropathy, etc.
We also use a proprietary second treatment improving our successful outcomes to over 90%.
What Should I Expect at My Visit?
You will be given some mild numbing cream, if desired to help minimize any discomfort, although, most individuals report that the treatment is comfortable.
Both acoustic wave and our proprietary treatment will be performed during each session. This will take approximately 30-40 minutes.
How Soon Should I Expect Results?
Many people see results after the first treatment but most will notice changes after the second or third treatment.
How Soon Can I Schedule?
We can normally get you on the schedule within 24 hours.

Medical Weightloss / Semaglutide
This is an affordable, effective way to lose weight and keep it off. We follow you through your weight loss journey and offer additional treatment options to help you achieve your overall health and wellness goals.
What are semaglutide injections?
Semaglutide, a GLP-1 (glucagon-like peptide) receptor agonists, is an FDA approved medication designed to treat Diabetes Mellitus type 2 (non-insulin dependent diabetes). The medication works by blocking the receptors that stimulate glucagon (sugar) production from the liver. In obese people, insulin is often not as effective and sugar does not get transported from the blood stream into the cells. The starving cells signal to the brain that they need sugar so the brain signals to the liver to release glucagon (sugar). Semaglutide improves the action of insulin while slowing the production of sugar from the liver. This leads the body to burn fat for energy, resulting in weight loss. Practitioners noticed a marked decreased in weight when these injections were started and some began to prescribe the medication as an off-label weight loss medication for pre-diabetic/obese patients. The studies show that most people lost 5-10% of their total weight while using the weekly injections.
Who is not a candidate for these injections?
People taking insulin or medications that increase insulin production are not good candidates because they may experience dangerously low levels of blood sugar as a result of the combine medication effects. Those with a BMI lower than 28 are also not good candidates. People with a history of medullary thyroid cancer or a history of pancreatic disorders should not take semaglutide. Also, those with a history of serious gastrointestinal (GI) issues are strongly cautioned to avoid semaglutide due to the high percentage of GI side effects.
How much do the injections cost?
The medication costs between $400-$600 per bottle. One bottle may last from 1-2 months depending on the dose needed. Insurance does not currently cover this medication so it must be obtained from a sterile-compounding pharmacy. There are not currently any sterile compounding pharmacies in Utah so the medication has to be obtained out of state, through a fully licensed and FDA approved sterile compounding pharmacy.
How effective are the injections?
For those who take the medication as prescribed, the injections are very effective at promoting weight loss. The best results are obtained when the patient is engaging in both cardiovascular and strength training exercise and is eating a balanced diet that is lower in simple carbohydrates. Once the injections are discontinued, those who are not exercising and consuming a healthy diet, will likely begin to gain back the weight. Studies have shown that those who exercise and eat sensibly have kept the weight off for more than 2 years from the time they began the injections. Most take the injections for 6-12 months.

Regenerative Medicine
Heal tissues and organs, restore function lost by aging, disease, damage, or defects.
What is regenerative medicine?
Allographic tissue transplantation (aka. Stem Cells) are designed to heal tissues and organs and restore function lost due to aging, disease, damage or defects. Our body has the natural ability to heal and repair itself. There are also natural products which help our body heal and repair. Some of those include Donated Live Tissue Allografts which are cellular products taken from donated human placenta (these are obtained from placentas from live births and healthy babies which are donated after delivery). After thoroughly testing products for blood born diseases, these live cells are harvested and preserved cryogenically until it is time to inject then into joints, muscles, and even genital organs.
Other non-injectable services are also available to help restore and repair the body, like acoustic shockwave and near-infrared laser treatments. Ailments like peripheral neuropathy, plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendinitis, tennis elbow, erectile dysfunction, etc., have remarkable recovery with these individual or combined treatments.
How much do the treatments cost?
Donated live tissue injections may cost anywhere from $1000-$5000 depending on the amount of product and type of product being injected. Acoustic shockwave is around $200 per treatment and near infrared laser treatments are $150 for every 15 minute treatment.
Who is not a candidate?
There are very few people that aren’t candidates for regenerative medicine. After chemotherapy patients should avoid most other therapies until cleared by the their oncologist. People on blood thinners may have limited treatment times or may require additional thought prior to treatment. Skin issues or acute injuries may also require treatment modifications.

Bo-cOx and Scro-tOx
Boc0x and Scrot0x are terms used to describe a treatment where a neurotoxin, like Botox or Xeomin, is injected into the penis or scrotum.
What is Bo-cOx and Scro-tOx?
These injections are used to treat erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, decreased sensation, and aesthetic concerns.
Erections are achieved when blood flows into the corpus cavernosum of the penis. The blood is trapped in the muscles causing it to engorged. The quality of an erection directly correlates to the amount of blood flowing into the muscle. Botox is used to relax the muscles in the penis which allows for increased blood to flow. By injecting specific anatomical areas, we can improve blood flow, nerve sensation, and performance. Effects in the scrotum allow the skin to relax and the testes to drop, as well as decreasing the function of the sweat glands in the treated area.
What are the Benefits of injecting your penis or scrotum?
Benefits may include:
- Harder erections
- Erections that last longer
- More intense orgasms
- Improved blood flow in penile and scrotal tissue, thereby improving overall organ health
- Increase in length and girth of penis
- Less incidence of premature ejaculation
- More confidence and satisfaction
- One treatment lasts 6 months
- Procedure is fast and painless
Are there risks?
As with any injection, there is a very low risk of bleeding. There may some superficial bruising which should resolve within a few days. Neurotoxin injections are extremely safe when performed by a professional.
Will using neurotoxins like Botox or Xeomin in my penis or scrotum cause paralysis?
No. Injections are done to a part of the penis where relaxing the muscle creates more blood flow to the area.
What Will Happen During the Procedure?
During your appointment, you will be in a warm, private room and we will put a topical numbing cream onto the treatment area. You will be covered up and left to relax for several minutes while the numbing cream takes effect. Once you are numb, a very small injection will be placed in specific areas. We will go over this in detail prior to the procedure. You will remain in the room for about 15 minutes after the injection to allow the product to work it’s way into the muscle. There is no downtime with this procedure.
What happens after my appointment? How long does it take to start working?
There is relatively no downtime to the procedure. You will be able to resume regular activity as soon as you leave the office. You may experience some very mild bruising but most have no noticeable effects directly following the procedure. Within a week to 2 weeks, most men start to notice the wanted effects of the injection. You may continue to see improvements for up to 6 weeks and will likely maintain this level of function for approximately 6 months.

Ultherapy
Ultherapy is an amazing skin-tightening and lifting procedure that uses ultrasound technology to locate the collagen-rich areas in the skin.
What is Ultherapy?
This allows for targeted treatment which results in tighter, more lifted skin with essentially no side-effects. It is the only FDA approved skin tightening treatment that can also claim to “lift” skin. This is because it helps you produce Elastin (which is responsible for youthful, tight skin). This treatment is effective in problem areas like neck, lower face, eyelids, and chest. We can also perform treatments on other body areas to tighten and lift skin. This is great after weight loss when skin can be very loose. The results also improve over time because you continue to make more collagen and elastin for up to 1 year.
How Does it work?
Ultherapy visualizes the collagen-rich areas of your skin through ultrasound technology. Once located, a targeted beam of heat goes directly to the area which creates injures the collagen. This causes your own body to go in and repair the damage resulting in increased collagen and elastin. It is not painful and there is no downtime required!
Who is a Good Candidate?
Most anyone is a good candidate. If you have skin laxity, this treatment might be a great option. There is no downtime and the treatment is not painful. The treatment is not recommended for those with open sores, lesions, and acne in the treatment area, or if you are currently on skin therapy like Accutane. For mild laxity, one treatment is all that is generally needed. For very loose skin, you may need a follow up after 4-6 months.
What Can I Expect During the Treatment?
You will lie down on a comfortable table and the treatment area will be cleansed. We will provide a prescription if requested, to help with anxiety but the procedure is not typically perceived as painful. Small doses of energy (usually felt as warmth) are delivered to the targeted areas of the skin in small bursts. You may receive several hundred “lines’ of energy in order to get the best treatment outcome. You may experience some very mild bruising in the treatment area and some slight redness that usually resolves within a few hours. You may resume regular activity immediately after the treatment. You may also have some slight swelling, tingling, or tenderness to touch but this is typically very mild and resolves quickly.
What Does Collagen Do?
Collagen is a natural protein that gives skin its youthfulness by keeping it firm and toned. As we age, collagen breaks down, and the result is a loss of skin strength and elasticity. Ultherapy uses microfocused ultrasound to generate a thermal effect under the skin. The thermal effect essentially jump-starts your body’s own process that produces fresh, new collagen.2,5… From Ultherapy
How is Ultherapy Different that Other Skin Tightening Procedures?
Ultherapy is non-invasive. It uses ultrasound technology to find, treat, and stimulate the formation of new collagen. This occurs below the skin surface, bypassing the outer skin layer.
How Long Does the Procedure Take?
Each procedure differs based on the individual but most are between 30-90 minutes.
What is the Cost?
Cost will vary based on the number of energy pulses needed. An average cost is around $2000. Ask about financing.
What Body Parts Can Be Treated with Ultherapy?
Eyebrow, mid-face, neck, and decolletage are most common but any part of the body with skin laxity can be treated.
